Another successful panel at the AGF Green Events and Innovation Conference

We are really pleased to celebrate a successful AEME contribution to Access to Music at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on 1st May 2026.

A panel was convened by the AEME EDI Special Interest Group to consider ‘Researching accessibility to the live performances for audiences who are d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent.’ The academic panel featured stimulating research presentations from Dr Mandy Curtis (from the University of Brighton), Dr Peter Vlachos (from the University of Greenwich, Dr Mike Duigan from Université Paris 1- Panthéon-Sorbonne and Adrian Bossey, who acted as Chair. This one-hour session was followed by a stimulating roundtable discussion around possible collaborations between universities and the events industries to support and increase inclusion.

 

Thanks to everyone involved. Our contributions built the successful AEME panel at Access to Music last year and we hope to build our partnership further in 2027.
