The Welsh Centre for Tourism Research at Cardiff Metropolitan University is proud to be hosting the 14th annual Association for Events Management Education (AEME) Forum, between the 5th and 7th of July 2017, in Wales' vibrant capital city.
Events have a long history throughout which they have evolved and changed considerably, raising challenges and opportunities for practitioners, educators and researchers alike. Working collaboratively in a forward-thinking approach is vital to the future success and vitality of the industry as a whole.
'Event Futures' encourages discussion and debate surrounding the future of the events industry with a focus on how academics and practitioners can work together into the future to deliver the highest quality research and education.
We invite submissions on the following themes:
Event stakeholders, impacts and evaluation.
Event design, technology and innovation.
Consumers, co-creation and the event experience.
Event education and pedagogy.
Future directions in event research.
Inclusivity and accessibility for events.
Keynote presentations and panels featuring a range of industry and academic experts will be scheduled to initiate debate and discussion on future directions and challenges for events management education and the industry. Please see Keynote Speakers section for further information.
