Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
An opportunity for AEME member engagement
As announced at the AEME Annual General Meeting on 2nd July 2021, the AEME Executive have been working on the development of some Special Interest Groups (SIGs) within the membership.
These are designed for members to get involved in conversations around pertinent topics to Events Management education. Some of these are already underway, for example Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Sustainability and Research.
As a Committee we have come to a decision on six SIGs as a starting point, as detailed in the list below. We welcome members to contact the named person to express an interest in being involved in these groups (you can join more than one!).
Once they are up and running each SIG will select a lead academic, who does not necessarily need to be on the Executive Committee.
